Watashiwatchi (わたしわっち) is a non-binary Tamagotchi character who debuted as a minor character in Tamagotchi!: Legend of the Pure Notes.

They have not appeared on any Tamagotchi Virtual Pets yet, but have appeared in a few Tamagotchi video games, including Tamagotchi! Quest and it's sequel, where they serve as an NPC.

In the anime, they are voiced in Japanese by Rie Kugimiya, who also voices Mametchi, and their English voice actress is Jackie Buscarino, who is the current producer of Cartoon Network's dub of the Tamagotchi! anime.

Personality[]

Though normally quiet and timid, Watashiwatchi has a deep resolve in their heart, and that's to make Tama-Friends. Despite being somewhat frail, suffering from asthma, they have a strong trusting heart.

Even though they can be quite obstinate, were they to have friends, they would be quite compliant towards them, often going along with their plans and ideas, until someone is endangered.  They are always ready to help out whatever friends they make, even if it means placing themself in danger.

As odd as it seems,  they took up drumming, having been inspired by their missing mother's violin expertise, and their late father's own drumming skills, as a child.

The most important gift given to them though, is the scarf they wear.  Passed down from parent to offspring, they are the 8th child on their mother's side of their family to possess it.  But there is a spirit, born of their ancestors' aggregation of the wishes of friendship lives within the scarf, much like how Melodytchi's violin houses a spirit as well.  Having gone off on their own as a teen, they seek out the blessings of friendship and perhaps find their significant other...

In the Anime[]

Watashiwatchi gets a starring role in the Tamagotchi! Superstar Stories episode "Watashiwatchi's Quest for Truth", where they encounter Momotchi in Tamagotchi Town, and fall in love with her. This motivates them to find the Kuchipatchi of Truth in order to grant her dearest wish, to have a family, as she was orphaned at an early age.

Over the course of such tribulations, they eventually encounter the relic, and through its power and Momotchi's kiss, they evolve into an adult. However, during their evolution, their size gradually reduces. They are extremely romantic and affectionate towards Momotchi.

Appearance[]

Watashiwatchi is a chinchilla-like Tamagotchi. They wear a sky blue shirt with 4 buttons and midnight blue pants. Their skin is golden yellow, and their eyes have midnight blue irises.

Before evolving into an Adult, they were the size of an average Teen Stage Tamagotchi. After evolving, their size significantly decreased, making them smaller than Chamametchi and about the same size as Telelin, which also makes them way smaller than Momotchi.
